Sierra Leone continues to face low learning outcomes despite increased access to education.
Many learners complete primary and secondary education without acquiring expected skills due to challenges such as weak education system management, low quality of teaching, inadequate learning environments, and gaps in data use and governance.
The Sierra Leone Free Education Project supports the Government of Sierra Leone to address these challenges by improving education system management, teaching practices, and learning conditions, while supporting gender equality, inclusion, and education continuity during emergencies.
